Our client specialises in rotational engineering components, rotational engineering workshop and site services, reliability services along with technical design and failure analysis engineering.

The Role

Our client is seeking a qualified CNC Machinist with EDM and Wire‑Cut experience to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform precision machining using Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) and Wire‑Cut EDM equipment, including setup, operation, and routine maintenance.
• Carry out manual machining tasks as required.
• Operate and set up CNC machining equipment to produce high‑tolerance components.
• Assist with costing and estimating machining requirements for jobs.
• Create and interpret technical drawings from CAD files.
• Complete required documentation, including setup sheets, tooling lists, and job records.

Hours

• Monday - Thursday: 7:00am - 3:30pm, Friday: 7:00am - 1:00pm ** Some overtime may be required depending on workload.

Key Competencies

• Relevant Trade Qualification.
• Proven experience with EDM and Wire‑Cut EDM machinery.
• Recent experience working in a heavy industrial environment.
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Capable of completing detailed inspection and QA reports.
• Physical ability to move around and climb onto large CNC tables during setups and teardowns.
• Strong attention to detail, teamwork skills, and a commitment to safety.
